Taking Therapy Outdoors

Masterclass by

Tanya Ginwala & Anita Pryor

The Taking Therapy Outdoors Masterclass is a day-long workshop that will introduce
participants to the principles, elements and application of outdoor therapy in an Indian context.

​

Together, we will explore:

1.     The principles and benefits of outdoor therapy

2.     What it means to be a trauma-informed outdoor therapist - Building a safe-enough,
        inclusive and equitable outdoor therapy practice

3.     The Role of Culture in cultivating a place-based outdoor therapy practice

4.     Nature-based practices for self and community care

5.     Training pathways to become an outdoor therapy practitioner

6.     Future directions and considerations for outdoor therapy in India

We will learn through experiential activities, personal and group reflections, and
reading/listening/watching/visioning together.
I will share insights, learnings and glimpses from my outdoor therapy program
in the Himalayas. Participants will have access to a resource folder that can support
continued learning after the workshop,

This workshop is open to all and there will be limited seats.
